* JOB TITLE: Quality Engineer
* SALARY: £49,920
* LOCATION(S): Cawley House, Chester
* HOURS: Full-time
* WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, involving at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites.
About This Opportunity

The Embedded Finance team is a dynamic start-up within Consumer Lending, focused on building propositions that meet customers' financial needs. We recently launched Black Horse Flex Pay on a third-party platform and are transitioning to BAU processes, deploying automated test environments for system maintenance with increasing customer exposure.
Join us as a Quality Engineer. You will leverage your technical skills to support the delivery of quality software solutions into production. You will be challenged, mentored, and supported to develop your skills and deliver effective testing. Collaboration with team members, partners, and third parties is essential to create motivated teams that solve business problems and deliver value to customers.
The role requires technical literacy, experience in automated and manual testing, good communication skills, and a keen interest in quality service delivery. Focus areas include manual and automation testing and coordination across multiple teams. A willingness to learn on the job is essential.

What You’ll Need
Key Skills and Experience (Required):
* Strong background in automation testing using tools such as Selenium, Playwright
* Proficiency in programming languages like Java, JavaScript, TypeScript for test automation
* Hands-on experience with API testing and automation
* Experience with manual testing and understanding of QA processes and best practices
* Familiarity with JIRA and Xray for test management
* Understanding of Agile methodologies and teamwork in Agile environments
Additional Useful Experience:
* Experience in iOS and Android app testing and automation
* Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated test integration
* Exposure to non-functional testing (performance, security, usability)
