Job description
About the role:
To deliver an efficient, effective and customer focused library service.
To answer general enquiries and provide information and guidance to customers, ensuring referral to specialist staff where appropriate.
To use the library management system for stock maintenance and the council payment system for payments.
To demonstrate a good knowledge of both hard copy and digital books.
To provide digital support to customers.
About you:
1. Books, libraries, literacy and love of knowledge
2. Customer focused, calm and empathetic, confident, with good communication skills
3. Digital skills – open minded for use of new technologies within the library and helping others
4. Receptive to change
5. A positive approach to the Welsh language
What you will do:
6. Issue, return and shelving of books
7. Stock presentation and promotion
8. Answer general enquiries and provide information to customers
9. Council service posting
10. Digital assistance and support
