To support our progress, we are currently recruiting for a Technical Assistant to come and join our team at our Eclipse Factory, Head Office site in Ibstock, Leicestershire, LE67 6HS Role Summary: The successful applicant will assist in all aspects of the application of quality assurance, energy management and environmental control procedures. Hours of work are 6am - 6pm (5 on 5 off, 4 on 4 off) Specific responsibilities include: Kiln and Dryer Monitoring, kiln burner set up, repair and alarm response when required Carry out functional QA, Environmental and Energy tasks Product and Raw Material testing and analysis Driving a culture of process improvement, monitoring quality and Health and Safety awareness Applying IMS tools and techniques to generate improvements within the department and factory as a whole Recording and documenting results Training and monitoring the application of process checks throughout the factory Use 5S techniques to maintain and improve housekeeping Essential Qualifications & Experience: Excellent timekeeping and attendance Self-motivated Numerate & literate A good understanding of the sciences Team working attitude Good communication skills High degree of Health & Safety awareness Ability to work as part of a team or on your own High degree of self-motivation Ability to work to set standards with the minimum of supervision A reasonable level of computer skills Mobile plant experience Think you can make a difference?
