Therapy Services - RIE
We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic physiotherapist to join our dynamic Orthopaedic Physiotherapy Team which covers 113 beds in the Ortho Unit and a 24 bedded Day Surgery Unit in the Royal Infirmary, Edinburgh.
Candidates must display evidence of clinical experience of work in a wide variety of core Band 5 rotations, as well as showing a particular interest in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy and specifically experience in trauma and elective Orthopaedics. Ability to prioritise and discharge plan for a wide range of presentations is essential, as is clarity of communication and well-demonstrated organisational skills. Experience of supervision, mentorship and appraisal of other staff members / students is essential.
You will deliver physiotherapy assessments and treatments across the Royal Infirmary site's Orthopaedic wards. Our large team currently includes band 3 to band 7 staff. There will be a requirement to participate in our weekend working rota in a 1:8 frequency. There will also be a requirement to participate weekly in our Enhanced Recovery extended hours service and Day Surgery Service until 6pm.
The range of conditions and specialities encountered, and requirement for excellence in clinical reasoning and team working in this post at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh will allow the successful candidate to gain extensive and in-depth experience as a band 6 physiotherapist.
