Finance Assistant | Hybrid | Bristol Office (Min. 1 Day Per Week) | Full Time Or Part Time | 6 Month Contract – With Genuine Potential To Go Permanent | Up To £30,000 (Pro Rata)

Our client is the professional body for the healthcare finance community — a trusted voice supporting finance professionals across the NHS and beyond. Through resources, training, thought leadership and networking opportunities, they help shape a more effective and sustainable healthcare system.

The Finance Assistant Opportunity:

They’re looking for a Finance Assistant who’s organised, proactive, and ready to make a difference. You’ll join a small, friendly and collaborative finance team that keeps everything running smoothly.

This is a 6-month fixed-term contract, but there’s genuine potential for this role to become permanent — the organisation is growing and investing in its people, and strong performance could easily open long-term opportunities.

Key Responsibilities of the Finance Assistant:

* Maintaining accurate ledgers and financial records
* Importing and generating sales invoices
* Managing daily banking and reconciliations
* Processing purchase ledger transactions and payment runs
* Supporting monthly reconciliations and reporting
* Uploading and processing expenses in Sage Line 50
* Providing general support to the finance team and wider organisation

What You’ll Bring:

* At least 2 years’ experience in a finance role, or part-qualified AAT (or equivalent)
* Strong working knowledge of Sage Line 50
* Confident in Excel and Microsoft Office
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
* A positive, flexible and collaborative mindset

Bonus Points If You Also Have:

* An understanding of the NHS finance and governance environment
