Overview
Veterinary Surgeon wanted to join Medivet Richmond 24-Hour Hospital, a busy, well-equipped hospital environment that values teamwork and exceptional patient care. The role offers flexible, part-time arrangements (e.g., 2–3 days per week or school-hours shifts) to support work-life balance while developing clinical skills in a dynamic hospital setting.
As a Richmond vet, you’ll manage a broad range of cases, from routine consultations and surgeries to complex medical workups and emergency care. In-house facilities include a full lab, digital x-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy and CT scanner to enable efficient diagnosis and high standards of care. Exposure to emergency and critical care will help you grow in fast-paced, high-pressure scenarios. A keen interest in medicine and ultrasonography is welcome but not essential.
You will join a long-standing, experienced team during a period of growth and regional restructure. The hospital serves as a nurse training practice and graduate vet residency provider, with opportunities to assist with advanced surgeries including soft tissue and orthopaedic procedures.
Located in picturesque South West London, Medivet Richmond is close to Kew Gardens and Richmond Park, with good transport links and free parking nearby.

Role Accountabilities
* Deliver exceptional clinical care to patients during consultations and procedures.
* Provide excellent care to clients with clear updates on patients.
* Maintain high standards of regulatory, practice and operational compliance.
* Prepare tailored, accurate treatment and care plans with clear cost estimates.
* Engage, mentor and develop team members, maximizing their skills and effectiveness.
* Complete clinical handover and arrange transfer of patients requiring out-of-hours or enhanced care.
* Share clinical best practice within and across practices and the wider Medivet community.
Your Skills And Experience
* RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon.
* Experience delivering exceptional care to patients and clients.
* Experience working effectively as part of a team.
* Demonstrable clinical leadership skills.
* Experience implementing a progressive clinical culture.
* Experience supporting nurse consults and schedule 3 procedures, understanding their impact on clinic performance.
* Experience coaching and influencing colleagues to achieve best outcomes.
