About Us
We are a specialist education recruitment agency working in partnership with a range of well-established SEN schools across Surrey. Due to increasing demand, we are looking to recruit experienced and qualified HLTAs to support pupils with additional needs in both short-term and long-term roles.
The Role
As an HLTA, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across a variety of SEN settings. You may be required to lead small group sessions, cover classes in the teacher’s absence, and provide targeted support to pupils with diverse needs.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver planned lessons and interventions to individuals and small groups.
* Support pupils with a range of needs, including ASD, SEMH, ADHD, and learning difficulties.
* Work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to support learning outcomes.
* Manage classroom behaviour effectively and promote a positive learning environment.
* Adapt resources and activities to meet individual learning needs.
* Contribute to progress tracking and reporting where required.
What We’re Looking For
* HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.
* Proven experience working within SEN settings (school-based preferred).
* Confidence in leading lessons and covering classes.
* Strong behaviour management skills.
* A flexible, proactive, and resilient approach.
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
