Pharmacy Operations Manager (Dispensary) Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust
Join us as a Pharmacy Operations Manager at Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust, based in Bristol. This role involves overseeing the operational management of the registered pharmacy premises within a prison setting, supporting the dispensary team, and ensuring compliance with legal and professional standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage the supply of medicines and oversee pharmacy operations, including stock management and adherence to SOPs.
2. Lead and develop the dispensary team, including registered technicians and pharmacy assistants.
3. Ensure compliance with the Wholesale Dealers Licence and maintain pharmaceutical governance standards.
4. Support clinical activities, including stock checks, patient consultations, and medication management.
5. Coordinate staff leave, performance reviews, and training programs.
6. Participate in clinical audits and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
* Registered pharmacist with relevant experience in a healthcare or pharmacy setting.
* Experience in managing pharmacy operations, preferably within a secure or institutional environment.
* Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
* Ability to work within legal and ethical frameworks governing pharmacy practice.
