The role
Fugro are looking for an Engineer to join its Structural Monitoring team based in Aberdeen, part of the Fugro Marine Asset Integrity (MAI) business line. The team provides asset integrity solutions for offshore energy structures by acquiring, processing and analysing Geo-Data to unlock insights that help clients manage risk and maintain safe, liveable assets. The office is the centre of excellence within Fugro for projects delivered worldwide in conjunction with other regional offices. You will be involved in the entire lifecycle of projects, from design, through assembly and test, site work planning, to data processing and reporting. This is an interesting, rewarding and varied role where you can develop further skills and make a difference. You will work with a team of specialists including engineers, technicians and field staff, with interaction with clients, suppliers and other stakeholders. Occasional offshore site work, including abroad, may be required.

Here’s what a typical day would be like:
* Project delivery – a variety of work depending on the nature and phase of the project. Examples: design calculations; testing and troubleshooting sensor packages and data acquisition equipment; writing procedures for testing and installation; generate quality control documentation, and manage health and safety responsibilities.
* Prepare and check of technical documentation, designs and calculations in support of projects.
