Position: Joinery Estimator
Location: Bradford
Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 per annum (DOE)
Joinery Estimator - Job Overview
The successful candidate will play a key role in the pre‑construction phase, managing multiple tenders and producing accurate costings for bespoke joinery and fit‑out projects.
* Preparing detailed estimates and cost plans from drawings and specifications
* Producing accurate take‑offs for bespoke joinery packages
* Managing and overseeing multiple tenders simultaneously (typically 2‑5 projects)
* Liaising with clients, suppliers and internal teams throughout the tender process
* Negotiating prices with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure best value
* Attending client meetings and occasional site visits as required
* Projects typically ranging from £100k - £1m+ across commercial fit‑out schemes
* Supporting continuous improvement of estimating processes and systems
Joinery Estimator - Job Requirements
* Proven experience in an Estimator role within joinery, fit‑out or construction
* Strong understanding of bespoke joinery and/or bench joinery (advantageous)
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
* Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and estimating software
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills
* Ability to manage multiple projects and work to deadlines
* Full UK driving licence
