AM is a leading publisher and SaaS provider of digital primary source collections for the global research and academic community. We are seeking an experienced sales professional who relishes driving revenue growth and exceeding targets. This is an exciting UK-based opportunity to work within our major market, North America. Working closely with colleagues based across the UK and North America, you will develop and own the territory strategy for the South East USA. You will nurture and grow long-term relationships with our academic library customers, co-ordinating multiple stakeholders to close business. You'll be working as part of a dynamic global sales team, with a culture of positive collaboration with internal teams including marketing, customer engagement, and editorial.
This role operates from the UK, based at AM’s headquarters and supports AM’s North American Sales objectives through close collaboration with the Senior Regional Sales Managers, the Director of North American Sales, and other key stakeholders across the business. There will be international travel to the US approximately four times per year, each trip lasting around two weeks, and you will work flexibly when needed to coordinate time zones.
Experience and Skills
1. Educated to degree level, ideally in a subject relevant to arts and humanities.
2. Proven success in a sales role, with a strong record of meeting and exceeding targets.
3. Skilled in negotiating large and complex deals.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills suited to working with academic institutions.
5. Familiarity with CRM systems.
6. Strong commercial awareness and consultative sales capability.
7. Organised, proactive, and comfortable working independently.
