Plumber Location: Council Offices, Southfield Road, Loughborough, LE11 2TX Start Date: ASAP Contract Duration: 3 Months Working Hours: Mon – Fri, 09:00 – 17:00, 37 Hours per week Pay Rate: £ 14.00 per hour Job Ref: OR15958 Job Responsibilities Support Repairs Team Leaders to meet service goals. Deliver high-quality plumbing services for council properties. Maintain health and safety standards in all tasks. Provide excellent customer service and handle tenant interactions professionally. Contribute to out-of-hours call-out service when needed. Coordinate with other trades for efficient work completion. Ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance tasks. Report any major work changes to the Repairs Team Leaders. Use and maintain tools and equipment responsibly. Participate in training and development activities. Comply with all relevant legislation and safety regulations. Assist and supervise apprentices as needed. Person Specifications Must Have NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Plumbing. Understanding of health and safety practices. Minimum 3 years of post-apprenticeship plumbing experience. Good knowledge of social housing maintenance. Problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure. Full current clean driving license. Willingness to work flexible hours and provide emergency services.
