Support Assistant – Inclusive Learning (Northampton)

Are you a compassionate and proactive individual looking to make a meaningful impact in education? A well-established special needs school in Northampton is seeking a committed Support Assistant to join their team, working with pupils aged 4–19 who face a range of learning challenges including Autism, PMLD, and SLD.
No previous experience is required — just a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs. Full training will be provided.
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
* Delivering personalised support to pupils during lessons and activities
* Assisting teachers with tailored learning plans and classroom routines
* Promoting independence, confidence, and emotional wellbeing
* Supporting pupils during transitions, play, and enrichment sessions
* Helping maintain a safe, organised, and inclusive learning space
We’re Looking For Someone Who:
* Is caring, patient, and eager to learn
* Has a genuine interest in inclusive education and child development
* Works well in a team and communicates effectively
* Is reliable, enthusiastic, and ready to make a difference
* Experience in education or care is a bonus — but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
