Job description
We are looking for an experienced and creative chef with at least two years recent experience as head chef. For this we are offering a starting salary of £34K minimum depending on experience, an equal share of tips, inclusion in our pension scheme, 28 days holiday per annum.
The venue has undergone a full refurbishment and rebrand, and we are looking for someone to lead, coach and mentor the current team in place and take the food offering to the next level.
We're looking for a chef with passion, experience and creativity, someone looking to become an integral part of our family run business. We are a fast growing business with 16 venues in our portfolio and we are looking to expand further so there are lots of opportunities for career progression.
A genuine enjoyment of good food is essential as is knowledge of seasonal ingredients, techniques and food safety standards. Of course, as well as having a flair for cooking and menu development you will be required to;
remain calm when running a busy service
have a good working relationship with the Front of house team
Order efficiently and negotiate prices
control stock levels & carry out internal stock-takes
Calculate and meet required gross profit targets
recruit, train & develop the talent
Remain calm under pressure
Ensure all Due diligence paperwork carried out.
Have an up to date food hygiene certificate
Have at least two years experience as head chef
