Your new role
As the Head of Ecology, you will be responsible for leading and expanding ecological services. You will play a crucial role in shaping the future of my client’s ecological and sustainability initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership: Create and lead the ecology team, fostering a collaborative environment, and ensuring high-quality delivery of services, and recruiting the best talent.
Project Management: Oversee and manage a diverse range of ecological projects, ensuring they arepleted on time and within budget.
Business Development: Identify new business opportunities and contribute to the growth of the ecology department.
Client Relations: Maintain and develop relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners.
Policy Development: Develop and implement policies and procedures related to ecological and sustainability practices.
What you'll need to succeed
1. Degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
2. Proven experience in a similar role within a consultancy environment.
3. Strong knowledge of UK environmental legislation and policy.
4. Excellent leadership and project management skills.
5. Strongmunication and interpersonal skills.
6. Good tenure of ecological consultancy experience working across a broad range of projetcs, sectors.
7. Excellent understanding of survey methodology and report writing requirements for all ecological services.
