Block Booking Opportunity
MPA Bangor are pleased to be recruiting support workers for Block bookings to cover a range of shifts to include days, evenings and nights. We are looking for support staff for our client services based in North Down.
As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing personalised care and support to individuals with various needs, helping them to achieve their goals and enhance their quality of life. You will work closely with clients, their families, and other professionals to create a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Personal Care:Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation, ensuring dignity and respect.
* Emotional Support:Provide companionship and emotional support, actively listening to clients' concerns and offering encouragement.
* Care Planning:Collaborate with clients and healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each client’s needs.
* Monitoring Health:Observe and record changes in clients' physical and emotional health, reporting any concerns to the appropriate personnel.
* Social Engagement:Encourage and facilitate social interactions and participation in activities to promote clients’ mental and emotional wellbeing.
* Transport and Mobility Assistance:Support clients with mobility issues and provide transportation to appointments, social events, and community activities as needed.
* Documentation:Maintain accurate and timely records of care provided, including daily logs and incident reports in accordance with organizational policies.
* Compliance:Adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and organizational procedures.
Essential Criteria:
* Registered with NISCC or willing to register.
* Must complete Enhanced Access NI check
* 6 months previous experience working within the healthcare sector
