We are currently looking for a skilled 18 Tonne Driver with HIAB licence to join our Inverness Site.
In this role, you will be essential in ensuring efficient, safe, and timely deliveries, acting as a key point of connection between our depot operations and customers. Your dedication to quality, safety, and service will be central to our commitment to excellence.
About the Role:
As a HIAB Class 2 Driver, your key responsibilities and duties will include:
Efficient Deliveries & Collections
• Complete all scheduled deliveries and collections, following any specific instructions to ensure customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
• Provide high-quality customer service during deliveries, representing Blok 'N' Mesh professionally on-site.
Adherence to Health & Safety Regulations
• Ensure that all activities at the depot and customer sites comply with health and safety standards, minimizing risk and promoting a safe working environment.
• Maintain awareness of safe handling practices, particularly when using the HIAB hook attachment.
Accurate Documentation Management
• Complete all required documentation accurately, reporting any issues or discrepancies promptly.
• Maintain clear, accurate records for all deliveries, including notes on handling requirements and location-specific details.
Yard Support and Collaboration
• Assist with yard duties, such as loading and unloading, stock organisation, and general support for depot operations when needed.
• Work collaboratively with depot team members to ensure smooth daily operations and maintain a tidy, safe working area.
Professional Conduct & Company Representation
• Uphold Blok 'N' Mesh's standards by providing courteous and reliable service in all interactions with customers, suppliers, and colleagues.
• Demonstrate a high level of integrity, representing the company's values in every interaction.
Vehicle Checks and Maintenance
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections, reporting any defects or maintenance needs immediately to ensure safe and reliable operation.
• Keep the vehicle clean, organized, and in compliance with all company and legal standards.
Regulatory Compliance for Driver Documentation
• Complete all required driver documentation, including tachograph records, in accordance with company policies and relevant regulations.
• Ensure familiarity with all transportation and safety regulations, always maintaining full compliance.
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
• Class 2 HGV License with proven driving experience.
• HIAB License with hook attachment, along with familiarity in safe operation.
• Experience with ratchet straps and secure loading techniques.
• Attention to Detail for documentation accuracy and adherence to regulations.
