Your new role
Highways Supervisor required to work on highways maintenance across Cambridgeshire helping to keep roads safe and efficient. Using cutting-edge innovations to deliver planned and reactive maintenance, as well as highway improvement schemes.
Duties include:
1. Oversee delivery of highway maintenance services, ensuring work meets contract requirements and customer expectations.
2. Plan, programme, and supervise all allocated works to specification and within agreed commercial limits.
3. Manage operational performance and margins from planning through on-site supervision.
4. Take responsibility for Health & Safety compliance, including toolbox talks and safe working practices.
5. Ensure all work follows company procedures, with accurate coding and documentation of changes.
6. Set and monitor objectives for time, cost, safety, and quality.
7. Lead and develop your team, providing training and support to operatives and apprentices.
8. Manage depot vehicles and plant.
9. Participate in emergency and winter maintenance activities.
