We have an exciting new vacancy for an Area Support Chef within the education sector at Coombs Catering Partnership Ltd.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent craft skills as this is a hands-on role, be flexible in their approach, have a positive can-do attitude and show a willingness to succeed.
Reporting directly to the Area Manager and assisting with the management of the area catering services, covering chef/manager holidays and sickness, conducting site audits and surveys, hosting parents' evenings, staff recruitment, induction and training, menu development and allergens, have a good understanding of budgets, financial trouble shooting and action planning.
You must have a valid driving licence and access to your own transport, along with the flexibility to travel around the sites at short notice as this role will require travel within an area from Northampton, Bedford and Peterborough.
The catering services we provide is for a variety of clients within education establishments. Our contracts vary in size so you could find yourself part of a team or working alone.
This is a term time + 10 days position, working 35 hours per week primarily Monday to Friday, you should expect to work occasional evenings and weekends as required.
Annual salary of GBP25,000, plus mileage expenses.
Experience within a similar role would be advantageous but is not essential.
A satisfactory DBS check will be required, followed by a full induction training programme.
