About the Role
Our Deals Tax team works closely with our Deals practice to advise on the tax implications of all aspects of transactions, including Mergers & Acquisition, Business Recovery Services and Real Estate. Part of the wider Corporate Tax network, we collaborate across specialisms to drive value and help our clients succeed at all stages of the deal lifecycle.
We are looking for an individual to join our Real Assets & Credit tax team as a Director in the Real Estate team. You will experience unparalleled opportunities to develop your career, working on complex and challenging assignments. Our team advises on a large volume of diverse direct and indirect real estate transactions both in the UK and across the world, gaining experience with prestigious and interesting clients, including sovereign wealth funds, high-profile multinationals, private equity funds, institutions, pension funds and REITs.
Responsibilities
Act as overall deal architect – making decisions on content, tone and focus of reports, and taking responsibility for successful delivery and management of projects.
Collaborate with Partners and Managing Directors to identify opportunities to bring in additional services and proactively manage project risk when leading proposals and kicking off new work.
Set the standard for coaching on projects; take time to get to know the team and their objectives, making upskilling a priority where appropriate.
Invest in client relationships and key stakeholder engagement to understand clients’ business concerns and priorities.
Qualifications
Experience working on Real Estate projects for key clients or a track record of advising on UK corporate tax.
Experience leading and coaching others.
Experience building and leveraging internal and external relationships and networks.
Developed communication skills, including negotiating with and influencing others.
Possession of an accounting or tax qualification (or an international equivalent) or equivalent work experience. International candidates may qualify through experience in their home country.
