We are looking to hire a postdoc with a background in MRI physics/engineering, to gain experience in:
* Biophysical modelling
* Bloch-based physics simulation
* Multi-modal quantitative MRI
* MRI experiment and analysis
The post-holders will work closely together and with other members of the WIN physics group to create an MR physics-based framework for predicting imaging phenotypes from quantitative imaging data. They will be expected to take an independent and proactive role in managing their own research, establishing and maintaining international collaborations, representing the group, communicating our research, and generating new research and grant opportunities.
It is essential that the post-holder has a doctoral degree (PhD or DPhil) in physics, engineering, or another relevant discipline. A less experienced candidate may be appointed at Grade 7 (£36,024 – £44,263 per annum), with a corresponding adjustment in the essential criteria, responsibilities, or duties. It is desirable that the post-holders have experience in MRI protocol optimisation and experimental design.
This post is full-time with the possibility of working part-time. The position is fixed-term until 31st December 2027.
Only applications received before 12:00 midday on 12th September 2025 will be considered.
