Procurement Manager Opportunity

Day-to-day of the role:
* Strategic Sourcing:
o Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and assess their capabilities.
o Develop category management strategies for key spend areas, including cost reduction initiatives.
o Lead supplier selection process through RFPs, negotiations, and contract management.
o Analyse spend data to identify opportunities for cost optimization and value improvement.
* Supplier Relationship Management:
o Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, ensuring ongoing performance and alignment with business goals.
o Collaborate with suppliers on innovation, quality improvement, and cost reduction initiatives.
o Monitor supplier performance through key performance indicators (KPIs) and address any issues promptly.
* Procurement Strategy Development:
o Define and implement a long-term procurement strategy aligned with business objectives.
o Develop procurement policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.
o Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with sourcing and supplier relationships.
* Cross-functional Collaboration:
o Work closely with internal stakeholders across different departments to understand their procurement needs and requirements.
o Communicate procurement strategy and goals to key decision-makers.
o Collaborate with supply chain teams to optimize inventory management and delivery timelines.
* Data Analysis and Reporting:
o Analyse procurement data to identify trends and opportunities for cost savings.
o Generate reports on procurement performance, including cost savings achieved and supplier compliance.
o Utilize data analytics tools to inform decision-making and identify areas for improvement.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Deep understanding of market dynamics and supplier landscape (ideally within medical or healthcare sectors)
* Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
* Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
* Proven ability to develop and implement procurement strategies.
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Experience with procurement systems and tools.
* Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or related field.
