Salary: cA GBP 45,000 per annum

Benjamin Edwards is recruiting for an Accounting and Reporting Manager for a high-growth and successful business striving to be industry leaders. As Accounting and Reporting Manager, you will work with the Financial Controller to oversee the financial reporting process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. You will collaborate closely with the finance leadership team and the group team.


The role of Accounting and Reporting Manager

* Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all financial data is accurate and complete.
* Manage the general ledger and deliver accurate and timely financial statements according to standards and regulations.
* Develop and implement internal controls and procedures to ensure the integrity of financial reporting.
* Own and manage the statutory accounts process.
* Perform balance sheet reconciliations to ensure data accuracy.
* Oversee capitalization of fixed assets and ensure proper accounting treatment.
* Develop and implement capital expenditure (CapEx) controls to monitor projects.
* Prepare corporate tax returns, working with the Group tax team.
* Ensure tax compliance, manage filings and audits.
* Handle cash reconciliations, cash flow, and interest payments.
* Coordinate with FP&A team to align cash availability with funding needs.
* Liaise with external auditors and manage the audit process.
* Collaborate with Group tax and internal auditors.
* Partner with business units to provide financial insights and support cost efficiency.
* Participate in special projects related to financial reporting.
* Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decisions.
* Deputize for the Financial Controller as needed.


Candidate requirements

* Professional certification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CPA, CMA, CIA, or equivalent). Part-qualified candidates will also be considered.
* Minimum of 5 years' experience in accounting and financial reporting.
* Strong knowledge of accounting standards and regulations.
* Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting software.
