Data Analyst - Procurement London or Knottingley Role description: This is a rare and exciting opportunity for a high-calibre graduate looking to apply their excellent mathematical and analytical skills to real world problem solving and decision making. You will be responsible for collecting, analysing, and interpreting data to provide valuable insights that support strategic decision-making, working closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, identify data sources, and develop analytical solutions. Responsibilities: Provide support to the Head of Procurement Data & Analytics in producing analysis that directs decision-makers in the Procurement function and other areas of the business, towards strategies that reduce cost, mitigate risks in the supply chain, and improve procurement outcomes. Collect and compile relevant data from various sources. Clean, pre-process, and organise data for analysis. Utilise statistical and data analysis techniques to extract meaningful insights, identify trends, patterns and correlations within the data. Create, update and maintain regular analytical reports, such as KPI reporting and related dashboards which show how the Procurement function is performing against its goals and objectives. Generate and deliver ad-hoc analysis and reports for use by the Procurement function and other areas of the business, including the Commercial and Finance functions. Required skills / qualifications: Educated to at least first degree-level, ideally in a numerate discipline. Minimum 2:1 and 120 UCAS points (or equivalent) Strong aptitude for manipulating and gaining insights from datasets, with the use of statistical and/or modelling techniques desirable, but not essential Proficiency in the use of Excel, and/or other data analysis and visualization tools, such as Microsoft PowerBI is desirable, but not essential. Detail-oriented, with a focus on accuracy and quality in data analysis. Good communicator with the ability to present the results of an analysis clearly and in a manner appropriate for the target audience. What we offer: Salary dependent on experience min £32,600 - £49,000 max. Salary sacrifice pension scheme with up to 10% matched contributions. 37 hour working week, with the option to hybrid work up to 3 days per week, plus 25 days holiday 8 statutory holidays.
