Your new companyA highly successful furniture supplier in the centre of Liverpool is seeking an experienced Stock Controller to join their Supply Chain team. This is a brand new position within the structure and it's a genuinely exciting time to join the business.Your new roleThe Stock Controller is responsible for managing inventory levels and purchasing stock to meet customer demand levels. This will entail forecasting supply and demand to prevent overstocking or stock-outs, placing orders to replenish inventory levels as required, factoring in lead times for production and logistics from overseas suppliers. You will also arrange and track container shipments and will keep key stakeholders updates with shipping progress. The Stock Controller will enter and maintain details on the ERP system relating to supplier details and pricing data. In this position, you will liaise with customer services to address any recurring product or quality related issues.What you'll need to succeed
* Previous experience in a stock control position within a head office (as opposed to a 'hands-on' warehouse stock control position)
* Experience in stock forecasting, planning and reporting
* Good computer skills and able to pick up new software quickly
* Excellent organisation skills
