We’re looking for
a talented Transport Operator to join us on a permanent basis, working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern covering the Night shift. This is for our contract based in Thurrock.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £34,000 plus a night shift allowance of £2,400 per annum.

What you’ll do on a typical day:
1. Prepare work for our customer and pre-brief drivers at the Start of shift
2. Co-ordinate the transport operations on site to meet both customer and company expectations
3. Liaise with line management to ensure the effective use of Customer vehicles / subcontractors minimising the cost impact to the business
4. Daily Report of customer KPIs and volume calculations
5. Execute customers plan and make changes where necessary to limit stock outs
6. Ensure that all drivers are compliant with the working time directive regulations and that any accidents/incidents are logged and communicated to management and customer in a timely manner
7. First line of communication for the driver workforce.
What you need to succeed at XPO:
8. A good understanding of fast-paced transport teams
9. Excellent communication skills – you’ll be speaking regularly with various stakeholders.
10. Good understanding of Microsoft packages including Excel and Outlook
