About the Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated History Teacher to join our successful History department. The successful candidate will teach History to Key Stage 3 and 4 students, inspiring them with a passion for the past and developing their understanding of the world.
Responsibilities:
1. Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated History lessons catering to various learning styles.
2. Create a supportive and stimulating environment fostering student confidence in exploring History and developing critical thinking skills.
3. Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
4. Contribute to curriculum development and departmental resources.
5. Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and uphold high teaching standards.
6. Participate in school activities promoting the Christian ethos.
Qualifications and Experience:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
2. Degree in History or related field.
3. Experience teaching History at secondary level.
4. Understanding of the UK National Curriculum for History.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Passion for History and inspiring students.
