Key Responsibilities
* Monitor and drive KPIs, taking action daily and weekly to ensure they are met.
* Set performance targets, review progress and create action plans to improve performance, including cost reduction and standard improvement.
* Look for solutions to problems and drive continuous improvement strategies.
* Spot and develop talent in your team through coaching and guidance.
* Look after colleague welfare and improve attendance standards.
* Allocate tasks and hold daily shift briefs.
* Report into the Department Manager.
* Maintain a safe working environment at all times within a food processing facility.
* Maximise equipment availability.
Shift Pattern & Location
Shift: 4 on 4 off, working between 7am and 7pm on 12‑hour shifts (12‑hour rotation 6:00‑6:00 PM and 6:00‑6:00 AM). Location: Harrogate, North Yorkshire (commutable from the A1, Wetherby, Leeds, Harrogate, etc.).
Qualifications and Experience
* Strong work ethic with management/supervisory experience within a large‑scale production operation, ideally across food manufacturing.
* Ability to challenge decisions and behaviours to ensure consistency in service to customers and problem‑solving skills.
* Proven track record of people management and delivering strong results through a team.
* Excellent communication skills and assertiveness, able to make decisions on the spot.
* Can‑do attitude and strong work ethic.
* Understanding of cost models, budgetary control and pest control management.
