Job Title: Children's Residential Support Worker

Salary: £30,060 to £34,488 (sleep allowance included)
Shifts: Long day shifts and sleep-ins required
Job Description:

This role offers a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people aged 8-18 with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and challenging behaviours.

As a Children's Residential Support Worker, you will engage with young people through activities, mentorship, and support, helping them develop socially, emotionally, and behaviourally.

Key Responsibilities:
* Encourage young people to participate in activities and take responsibility for their lives
* Maintain a safe, homely environment within the residential setting
* Support young people in managing challenging behaviours safely and sympathetically
* Promote the independence and well-being of children and young people
* Protect children and young people from risks to their health and welfare
* Develop and sustain positive relationships with staff, parents, social workers, and other professionals
Requirements:
* Full UK driver’s license and access to a car (essential for transporting young people)
* Over the age of 21
* Empathetic, relatable, with excellent listening and communication skills
* Experience in social care or working with young people is desirable but not essential
* Resilience and a genuine desire to make a difference in young people's lives
