Responsibilities
* Expert mechanical and electrical system knowledge with the ability to identify, diagnose and rectify breakdowns
* Ensure plant and equipment performance meets operational efficiency and compliance standards
* Deliver and improve planned preventative maintenance across the site whilst maintaining CMMS records
* Lead on instrumentation, process controls and PLC-related tasks (Siemens, Mitsubishi, Allen Bradley)
* Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives across engineering and production
* Provide training and support to new and existing team members
Controls Engineer Requirements
* Apprentice trained or equivalent engineering qualification
* Strong PLC knowledge (Diagnosing & programming)
* Be prepared to assist other sites with PLC systems or small automation projects (remote or on-site)
* Experience delivering Continuous Improvement initiatives
* Excellent communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills
