As a DevOps Engineer, you will bridge development, testing, network/infrastructure, operations, and system administration to facilitate efficient, continuous, and high-quality software delivery. Your role involves implementing processes and tooling that enable Software Engineers to transform source code into installation media and configured environments.
You should possess a broad knowledge across software development and deployment disciplines, combining coding or scripting skills with excellent team collaboration and communication skills. Your work will be within a multidisciplinary team requiring a wide range of technical and soft skills categorized into the following domains:
1. Automation skills: Design, build, and maintain automation solutions for building, testing, deploying applications and infrastructure. Skills include:
* Continuous Integration
* Continuous Deployment
* Orchestration
* Workload Automation
* Cloud Management
* Configuration Management
1. Human skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, collaboration, knowledge sharing, and flexibility.
2. Technical skills: Experience with cloud platforms, operating systems, programming languages, containerization, application technologies, databases, and legacy infrastructures.
3. Multi-discipline enabling skills: Understanding of IT operations, security, application development, and architecture.
4. Process & Framework Knowledge: Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and SRE principles.
