What You’ll Make Happen
* Manage bookkeeping and maintain accurate financial records such as accounts payable, bank reconciliations, fixed asset register and VAT returns.
* Contribute to administering the payroll and pension schemes to ensure timely and accurate processing of staff wages and contributions.
* Reconcile financial accounts including bank and credit card statements to guarantee reporting accuracy.
* Participate in the month-end and annual close process gaining exposure to financial audits and final accounts preparation.
* Maintain and help improve financial controls to ensure compliance with internal processes and accounting standards.
* Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting to the Finance team to help deliver business insights for data-driven decisions.
* Leverage AI to optimize workflows and team efficiency.
Your Expertise
* Hands-on experience with cloud accounting software (e.g. FreeAgent, Xero or similar)
* Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and work independently
* Ability to check your own work and spot mistakes quickly
* Excellent communication skills
* Strong work ethic and self-motivation
* A friendly and enthusiastic demeanour
