What the role involves
As a Weekend Support Worker, no two days are the same. You will:
* Visit clients in their homes across Colchester and nearby areas
* Provide personal care such as washing, dressing, and medication support
* Assist with household tasks including meal preparation and light domestic duties
* Support clients with mobility and independence, ensuring safety at all times
* Offer companionship and emotional support, helping to reduce isolation
* Keep accurate records of care provided for each client
* Represent Mercury Healthcare with professionalism and compassion at all times
About You
We're looking for people with the right values and attitude to join our team. You might already have experience in care, or you might be new to health and social care looking for a rewarding weekend role. What matters most is your commitment to supporting others.
You should be:
* Caring, patient and empathetic, with a genuine desire to help others
* Reliable and punctual, with a professional approach to your work
* A good communicator who can build trust quickly with service users and families
* Able to work weekends, with flexibility around morning, afternoon or evening shifts
* A driver with access to your own vehicle (essential for domiciliary care)
