Overview
Manufacturing Services Leader (Maintenance) in Inchinnan. You will provide Manufacturing Services support within the maintenance team, accountable for the performance and results of your team, providing leadership and identifying development opportunities through coaching and training. You will operate within defined manufacturing services standards and policies, make decisions and solve problems guided by policies, procedures and plans, and adapt plans to meet resource and operational needs.
What You Will Be Doing
* Set the direction of your team by operationalising the plans and priorities developed by the leaders of Manufacturing Services and their Area.
* Ensure that agreed performance targets for all manufacturing services accountable items are monitored using standard tools and KPIs, and take appropriate actions where targets are not achieved.
* Communicate clearly and concisely to guide and influence others internally or externally to adopt a different point of view.
* Coach your team and related teams on technical aspects of Manufacturing Services, contributing to business improvement in their technical area.
* Coach facility Manufacturing Service Engineers (MSEs) to ensure that all MSE responsible items are delivered to the required standard at the required time.
* Ensure that Manufacturing Services supports the business by deploying the latest Rolls-Royce Production System standards.
* Apply knowledge across Manufacturing Services activities to ensure accountabilities are enacted to the required level and within timescales using company processes and standards.
* Input into the development of, and own the budget, applying business acumen to achieve financial objectives.
* Collaborate with other functions to integrate Manufacturing Services with the broader area objectives, liaising with Manufacturing Managers and being fully integrated within the area manufacturing team.
* Interface effectively with Group Property and service providers to ensure services meet business requirements.
* Use IT systems to drive management and leadership activity; communicate using digital tools and support digital strategy and innovative technology.
* Implement the Company Health, Safety and Environment policy in all aspects of Manufacturing Services, and ensure compliance with legislative requirements and control standards through effective communication and processes.
What We’re Looking For
* Proven track record of Manufacturing Leadership experience with the ability to inspire teamwork and simplicity.
* Maintenance experience is desirable.
* Conceptual and practical knowledge of manufacturing services.
* Experience in functional support groups.
* Proven track record delivering business results.
* Shows initiative for personal development, particularly in leadership skills, and has attended leadership development programmes.
* Has led transformation projects and is familiar with continuous improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma and Lean (Green and/or Black belt desirable but not mandatory).
* Experience of working with trade unions.
* Experience delivering manufacturing facility-wide projects.
