Job Title: Fabrication Engineer
Location: Woodtop Off Bury Road, Rossendale BB4 6DJ
Salary: From £13.00 to £15.00 dependent on experience
Hours: Full time, Monday - Friday
Contract Type: Permanent
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and hands-on Fabrication Engineer to join our production team. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in MIG welding and be confident using a variety of hand tools and workshop machinery. This is a varied role that requires flexibility, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to multiple tasks across the factory floor.
Key Responsibilities:
* MIG welding on materials ranging from 2mm to 15mm thickness
* General fabrication and welding duties
* Operating a range of tools and machines, including:
* Lathes
* Pillar drills
* Milling machines
* Band saws
* Working within specified tolerances
* Carrying out manual tasks such as coating, end locking, and drilling as needed
* Supporting other departments within the factory when required
* Maintaining high standards of health and safety and cleanliness in the workplace

Person Specification:
* Proven experience in MIG welding and general fabrication
* Comfortable working with a variety of materials and thicknesses
* Confident using hand-held tools and workshop machinery
* Physically fit and capable of performing manual handling and heavy lifting
* Positive attitude, dependable, and a strong team player
* Good timekeeping, communication, and organisational skills
* Willingness to learn and take on a variety of tasks
Desirable (Training Can Be Provided):
* Experience in coating, end locking, and drilling
* Versatility to rotate through different factory roles as needed
