Advanced Podiatrist - High Risk
An experienced, enthusiastic and highly motivated Podiatrist is required to join the integrated High Risk Podiatry Team within Trafford Local Care Organisation, part of Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide triage, advanced clinical assessment and diagnosis of highly complex high‑risk foot patients.
- Implement, evaluate and modify complex care interventions tailored to individual patient needs.
- Deliver advanced holistic assessment and develop specialised care programmes for a significant clinical caseload, making autonomous clinical decisions in line with best practice.
- Provide clinical leadership for high‑risk foot care, ensuring the safe delivery of day‑to‑day podiatry services across both community and hospital settings.
- Act as a source of expertise, offer specialist support and mentorship to multidisciplinary team members and students, promoting multidisciplinary working.
- Collaborate closely with the Service Lead and Senior Podiatrists to deliver a seamless integrated High Risk Podiatry Service, supporting service development, clinical audit and quality improvement initiatives.
- Deliver clinical supervision and conduct appraisals when required.
Education & Qualifications
- Podiatry Degree / Equivalent
- Registration with HCPC
- Certificate in Local Anaesthesia
- Postgraduate training in HR Foot
- Teaching Qualification
Experience
- Relevant postgraduate experience in the NHS
- Significant experience managing a complex high‑risk foot caseload
- Evidence of effective MDT working
- Experience in leadership roles
Knowledge and Skills
- Working knowledge of relevant national and local guidelines
- Knowledge of evidence‑based practice
- Advanced assessment skills, diagnostics, and management of high‑risk foot conditions
- Ability to work autonomously
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and CPD
Driving
- Holds a full/clean UK driving licence
- Has access to a car for business use

Salary
£49,387 to £56,515 per annum (pro rata).
