Job Overview
Full and part‑time roles are available. Our Home First & Reablement service supports people to return home after a stay in hospital, helping them continue their recovery in their own surroundings and regain independence.

We are recruiting experienced and new to care Rehabilitation Assistants in Gloucester.
Shift Patterns and Post Details
* 2 full‑time posts: 8 am‑1.30 pm and 5‑10 pm (4 on/4 off split shift)
* 1 morning post: 8‑2 pm (4 on/4 off)
* 1 evening post: 5‑10 pm (4 on/4 off)
All our Rehabilitation Assistant roles offer core hours of 07.00‑22.00. There are various hours available – please ask for more information.
Key Responsibilities
As a Rehabilitation Assistant you will work closely with other health care professionals, delivering essential clinical and personal care. You will ensure that our service user needs are met and assist the team in maintaining high standards of care delivery.
Responsibilities include participating and assisting in the delivery of care/services to patients and service users as part of a Mental Health and Social Care Health Service. All staff are required to follow the guidance set out in the Code of Conduct for Health Care Assistants/Health Care Support Workers to provide safe and compassionate care.
Qualifications, Training and Experience
All successful applicants will meet the Care Certificate standards and will receive direct supervision and reflective practice/training on a regular basis.
If you are new to care and hold no experience in healthcare, we offer a structured development plan (including achieving the Care Certificate). You will progress from Pay Band 2 to Pay Band 3 upon achieving the Care Certificate.
All roles are locality‑based visiting people, so a valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes are essential.
Career Development Opportunities
Successful applicants will also have the opportunity to discuss the prospect of undertaking a Level 3 Healthcare Support Worker Apprenticeship alongside their substantive post. This apprenticeship would include the Level 3 Diploma in Clinical Healthcare.
