Role Trimmer Hours: Mon-Thu 07:30-16:40; Fri 07:30-13:30 Type: temp to perm 12 weeks Reporting to: Production Team Leader Role summary Trim and finish rubber components to specification, ensuring quality and on-time output. Key responsibilities Set up and operate trimming equipment; perform hand trimming. Inspect parts (visual and basic measurement); segregate non-conforming items. Record production data (job cards, scrap/yield) and maintain workstation cleanliness. Change/maintain blades/tools and report maintenance needs. Follow PPE and safety procedures. Pay & shifts * Pay rates for the trimmers - £12.75/hr * Holiday for permanent staff: 22 days (excluding bank holidays, assuming a 5-day working week) Required skills Experience in trimming/finishing manufacturing parts; good dexterity and attention to detail. Basic use of calipers/gauges and ability to follow SOPs. Reliable, team-oriented, able to handle repetitive tasks. Health & safety PPE: safety boots, eye protection, gloves as required. Site induction and any role-specific training mandatory. Onboarding Day 1: induction H&S and supervisor assignment. Weeks 1-4: supervised training and competency sign-off.
