Supply Teaching Assistant – Forest of Dean

Thrive Education is seeking adaptable and motivated Supply Teaching Assistants to support a variety of welcoming primary schools across the Forest of Dean. This is an ideal role for anyone who enjoys flexible working, diverse experiences, and supporting children’s learning in different settings.
Role Overview
As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you will:
1. Support teaching and learning across EYFS, KS1 or KS2 depending on each placement.
2. Assist class teachers with activities, resources, and general classroom support.
3. Provide 1:1 or small group support when required.
4. Support positive behaviour, engagement, and wellbeing.
5. Adapt confidently to new routines and environments.
6. Build positive relationships with children and staff.
About You
We are looking for individuals who:
7. Have experience working with children in a school, care or educational environment.
8. Are flexible, reliable, and able to work across different classrooms.
9. Communicate effectively and build rapport quickly.
10. Are passionate about supporting children’s development.
11. Hold (or are willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS on the update service.
