As Shift Operations Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day management of the Warehouse operation & Site facilities, and deputize for the Operations Manager as needed. Your focus will be on maximizing site operational performance through leadership, colleague engagement, understanding of operations, and managing customer requirements to consistently achieve challenging KPIs.
Shift Pattern: 06:00-14:00, 14:00-22:00 Rotating
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure Health & Safety is prioritized in line with site and business goals.
* Oversee all warehouse operational activities on site.
* Achieve all KPIs to meet customer expectations.
* Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation to enhance performance and development.
* Manage and develop the operational team, identifying future leaders and supporting growth and succession plans.
* Recruit, train, and retain staff committed to quality and customer satisfaction.
* Maintain a positive employee relations environment and handle personnel issues promptly and legally.
* Manage financial targets through effective cost control to improve financial performance.
* Engage with the customer using a full Partnership model approach.
* Oversee site facilities and manage visiting contractors.
* Recruit and select agency and permanent operatives in a timely manner.
* Ensure compliance with internal and external audits.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience managing high-volume, service-driven warehouse operations.
* Strategic and operational thinking skills.
* Experience leading large, diverse teams.
* Positive attitude with determination and resilience.
* Knowledge of CIP, Kaizen, Six Sigma, Lean (advantageous).
* Excellent communication skills at all levels.
* Experience in retail environments (preferred).
* Confident, proactive, and able to represent the company and customer effectively.
