Specialist Behaviour Support Assistant
Are you a passionate, nurturing individual who can provide tailored, quality support to pupils? As a specialist behaviour support assistant your role is to provide the highest quality care and support to the pupils, this may include personal care, supporting their learning on a 1:1 or small group scenario, providing general classroom support and helping with social and day to day life skills.
You may be faced with difficult situations and challenged with behaviour and you should be able to manage and de-escalate these situations.
Duties –
* Promote pupils cognitive, social, emotional, behavioural, physical development and spiritual well-being through the schools curriculum.
* Ensure you are handling and deescalating challenging behaviour.
* Supporting with personal care.
* Support the teacher in monitoring, assessing, recording and reporting pupils’ progress according to the school’s policies in order to monitor and foster pupils’ progress in all areas of learning.
Key Information -
* Full-time role, Monday to Friday (8:30-3:30pm) start date ASAP or 1st September 2024.
* Term-time only role.
* PAYE contract.
* Primary SEMH Provision.
* Darwen based, (BB3).
* Competitive hourly rate of pay of £12.90+ per hour depending on experience and additional duties.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
