Senior Clinical Fellow

We are offering a clinical fellowship in the Trauma & Orthopaedics unit at Glasgow Royal Infirmary.

Glasgow Royal Infirmary is a trauma unit and also provides significant tertiary orthopaedic trauma and elective services. This post will provide excellent exposure to the whole range of adult orthopaedic practice, with an opportunity for a subspecialised focus in chosen areas.

Start dare: 6th August 2025

End date: 4th August 2026

Duties of the post

Duties

The SCF will work as part of the Orthopaedic Team undertaking inpatient and outpatient duties at a middle grade level. Brief outline of duties involved is shown below:


* Management of Elective & Trauma patients.
* Second on-call for Trauma (SpR on-call rota), providing cover for the CT/CDF on-call in the hospital.
* Elective & Trauma Theatre duties as required.
* Orthopaedic Clinic & Fracture Clinic duties as required.
* Daily ward rounds.
* Participate in the Unit Educational Programme

Applicants who have not undertaken a UK foundation programme within 3.5 years of the advertised post start date, will be asked to submit a Certificate of Readiness to Enter Specialty Training (CREST). The CREST form must be completed by a consultant who has worked with you for a minimum continuous period of three months whole-time equivalent wholly within the 3.5 years prior to the advertised post start date for which you are applying.
