We are looking for a FAIR Quality Engineer to work in a busy manufacturing environment at our Derby site
Working hours: 37.5 hours, Monday to Thursday 8.00am to 4.45pm, Friday 8.00am to 12.00pm

Purpose of role and accountabilities:
* To maintain quality control within the manufacturing process, in line with business standards and customer requirements.
* Inspection and verification of parts at all stages within business.
* Complying and reviewing of First Article Inspection Reports.
* Reporting of Non-Conformances in line with the business’s Quality Management System.
* Supporting Root cause analysis and resolution.
* Work as part of team to achieve quality targets.
* Support process of building quality into the manufacturing cycle.
* Represent quality function at team meetings.
Core skills/attributes needed:
* Experienced in an quality background.
* Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
* Technical knowledge & experience within the aerospace sector preferred.
* Experience in a quality control environment preferred.
* First Article Inspection experience IAW AS9102.
* Working to ISO9001.
* Attention to detail.
* Ability to work on own initiative and with minimum supervision.
* Good communications skills.
* Good level of computer literacy.
