This is a key leadership appointment offering the opportunity to drive technical excellence, lead a high-performing team, and shape project execution across the UK and beyond. You'll take a hands-on role in ensuring the successful delivery of complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects - all within a business that plays a crucial part in supporting energy transition, manufacturing, healthcare, and clean technology. The Role: As Head of Projects, you will: Take overall responsibility for the planning, coordination, and execution of all project engineering activities Lead and mentor a team of skilled engineers, promoting development, knowledge sharing, and cross-functional collaboration Drive resource planning, project prioritisation, and efficient workload management to ensure timely delivery Provide both strategic and hands-on technical leadership across a range of high-impact projects Ensure engineering outputs meet internal stakeholder expectations and exceed external customer requirements Promote a culture of value engineering, design standardisation, and continuous improvement Champion best-in-class SHEQ practices, overseeing audits, investigations, and risk assessments Monitor project milestones, KPIs, and performance using project management systems Support transparent reporting and continuous improvement across project lifecycles The Person: To be successful, you will have: A degree in a relevant engineering discipline (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical preferred) Chartered Engineer status (or working towards) 10 years' engineering experience, ideally within industrial, construction, or manufacturing environments Proven track record in leading high-performing project engineering teams Strong understanding of design principles, construction methodology, and industry regulations Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills A strategic mindset combined with the ability to remain hands-on and technically credible A continuous improvement outlook, with a strong commitment to safety, integrity, and performance Why apply?
