My client a well established groundworks company are looking for a skilled and proactive materials buyer to join there team.
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Supply Chain Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimising our supply chain processes.
Responsibilities
* Sourcing and purchasing construction materials, plant and equipment, Oversee and manage supply chain operations to ensure timely delivery of products.
* Negotiating with suppliers to secure the best pricing and Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to negotiate contracts and terms that benefit the organisation.
* Coordinating deliveries to ensure materials are available when needed
* Analyse logistics processes to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices.
* Maintain accurate records of supply chain activities and prepare reports for management review.
* Coordinate with various departments to ensure alignment on supply chain strategies and objectives.
* Cost reporting, monitoring stock levels and forecasting material requirements
Requirements
* Proven experience in supply chain management or logistics roles.
* Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of successful supplier management.
* Excellent Knowledge of construction materials and suppliers.
* Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
* Ability to work under pressure
* Familiarity with logistics processes and supply chain optimisation techniques.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data effectively.

Pay: £19.00-£25.00 per hour
