Our client is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Assistant Management Accountant to join their team in Birmingham. What you'll do:
* Business partner with key stakeholders ensuring strong commercial and operational decision making
* Deliver proactive ad-hoc financial analysis to support business unit decision making
* Understand and manage financial risks and opportunities arising from contract mechanisms and ongoing business performance
* Prepare key business reporting such as month end reports, business reviews, client reports, budgets, cash analysis
* Support closing monthly accounts ensuring sales and costs are accurately recognised
* Promote working capital improvements through timely, accurate contract billing, active management of debt ledgers and timely resolution of queries
What you bring:
* Completion of first level professional exam qualifications [CIMA/ACCA/ACA]
* Passion for Finance and understanding of management accounting
* Analytical skills with high level of attention to detail
* Effective communication skills with ability to communicate information concisely and logically
* Ability to adapt to a changing environment
* Good knowledge of Excel
