We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Technical Supervisor to join our Responsive Repairs team. This is a fixed term contract and is expected to come to an end March.
In this pivotal role, you’ll oversee the end-to-end delivery of repairs services—from first report to final invoicing—ensuring high standards, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
You’ll manage a team of directly employed operatives and specialist sub-contractors, while driving performance, safety, and continuous improvement.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Managing the responsive repairs workflow, ensuring accuracy in job descriptions, durations, and work orders.
• Overseeing operatives and contractors, ensuring timely completion, quality control, and compliance with KPIs.
• Liaising with scheduling teams, attending sub-contractor meetings, and supporting service delivery reporting.
• Acting as a key point of contact for customer enquiries and complaints, resolving issues professionally and promptly.
• Supporting HR processes including inductions, disciplinaries, exit interviews, and performance reviews.
• Leading workforce planning, training, and development initiatives to build a high-performing team.
• Promoting BD Group’s values and maintaining a culture of safety, respect, and excellence.
What We’re Looking For
• A trade qualification (City & Guilds or NVQ) in at least one discipline—multiple preferred.
• Full, clean manual UK driving licence.
• Proven supervisory and line management experience in a repairs and maintenance environment.
• Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices.
• Ability to work independently, under pressure, and with discretion.
