Assistant Manager – Telford
Location: Telford, England, United Kingdom

As Assistant Manager you’ll own people development, training, scheduling, inventory, and merchandising, and you’ll partner with leadership to drive sales and growth.
Major Responsibilities
* Champion Store Team Members (STMs), providing mentoring, coaching and direction at all times.
* Support the delivery of the Company’s expected levels of customer service.
* Manage STMs’ abilities with the needs of the customer where the situation dictates.
* Manage daily available resources ensuring smooth flow and operation of the shop floor covering both sales and service.
* Ensure the store’s merchandising meets expectations and looks its best at all times.
* Manage STMs through their appearance, performance and attendance with support from the Store Manager, Regional Store Manager and People Operations.
* Work with the Store Manager to enable the store to exceed its targets and KPIs, including setting individual STM targets.
* Ensure the shop floor is always ready to trade, maintaining appearance of front‑of‑house areas, benches, pods and furniture.
* Manage and oversee customer complaints and returns, escalating to the appropriate level of management or department when required.
* Actively develop STMs’ skills through regular training, coaching and 1:1 reviews; provide opportunities for SEED training and ‘Personal Trainer’ sessions.
* Advise and guide STMs through the Company’s core principles and policies.
* Proactively manage first‑level People Operations matters such as return‑to‑work interviews and investigations.
* Oversee store closure routine, cashing up process and ensure proper final closing duties.
* Make necessary daily trips to the bank as required.

* Retail experience, particularly in a high‑end environment.

* Confident in selling the right products to customers based on their needs and wants.
* Strong customer focus and the ability to read the situation and facilitate purchases.
* Ability to work within set parameters and ensure STMs do the same.
