Overview
The Senior IT Field Service Engineer is responsible for providing on-site technical support and maintenance by installing, troubleshooting, and repairing IT hardware, software, and networking equipment in scope of Biffa’s IT Services teams. This role requires a combination of strong technical expertise, customer service skills, and the ability to work independently. The Senior IT Field Service Engineer will interact directly with end users, providing timely and effective solutions, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Your core responsibilities
* Log, prioritise, and resolve or escalate IT tickets within SLA.
* Travel to sites when remote resolution isn’t possible.
* Install, configure, and maintain IT equipment (PCs, servers, printers, networking).
* Track and manage IT assets, shipments, and service records.
* Proactively manage outstanding tickets, keeping users updated.
* Support projects, escalations, and team coordination as needed.
Our essential requirements
* Previous IT field service/support experience.
* Strong knowledge of Office 365, ITSM tools, and hardware break-fix.
* Familiarity with networking equipment and patching.
