A specialist SEN school in Peterlee is looking to appoint a Trainee Teaching Assistant to support pupils aged 5–16 with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD and communication needs.
The school follows a structured and nurturing approach, helping pupils build confidence through routine, consistency and positive relationships.

Hours: 8:30am – 4:00pm | Monday–Friday | Term Time Only

Daily Expectations & Routine
• 8:30am staff start
• Structured lessons with small class sizes
• Sensory breaks and communication sessions
• Supervised social times
• 4:00pm finish with team debrief

• Supporting pupils in lessons

• Supporting emotional regulation
